ap SG Changi Racing Team scored another podium at the weekend in round 7 of the Super GT 300 Championship. It was the team’s second podium finish in a row. Perfect first endurance experience for Imperatori at the Sepang 12 hours

2011-09-17_18-36-00_2  Alexandre Imperatori had his first taste of endurance racing in Sepang last week-end when he participated in the MMER 12 Hours of Malaysia for Absolute Racing. For the occasion, the swiss driver was partnered with gentleman driver Jeffrey Lee from Taiwan and young malaysian Aaron Lim. The trio were driving a customer Audi R8 LMS, with support from Audi, as the factory team WRT was also entering two cars with a top-notch driver line-up. The competition was equally fierce with top teams and drivers from Japan as well as Europe. (more…)

SG Changi Racing on the podium again at Fuji

2011_gt6-03688 Alexandre Imperatori and Ryo Orime drove their Lexus IS350 to a fine second place in this week-end’s round 6 of Super GT at the Fuji International Speedway. Despite the circuit’s characteristics (particularly its very long straight line) not well suited to the SG Changi Racing machine, the team maximized their potential and produced a mistake-free week-end to clinch another strong result. Team StarChase Championship Leaders Following Perfect Weekend

img_0171  Team StarChase charged back to the top of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia leaderboard after two perfect, lights-to-flag victories on the demanding 5.6km Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia at the weekend.

The team worked hard to create an error-free scenario, and Shanghai-based Swiss driver Alexandre Imperatori repaid them with two, wheel-perfect performances.

The TransAsia Airways and PICC-supported team were untouchable all weekend. (more…)

Wheel issue hampers Imperatori’s impressive Motegi charge

oka04005 Alexandre Imperatori produced a stirring comeback drive in round four of Formula Nippon at Motegi, Japan, today before demonstrating his battling qualities to hold on for a solid 11th place finish.

The Swiss rookie channelled his frustration of a recurring brake problem and Saturday’s qualifying result, where a miscalculation left him battling traffic on his only timed run, into a rousing display come raceday at a circuit infamous for its lack of overtaking opportunities. (more…)
